How does it work?
Smart Box™ contains a mix of corn-fiber pellets and color-changing Healthmark™ pellets. The litter will change color if abnormalities are identified in the acidity and alkalinity levels or if blood is present in your cat’s urine.
Red
Blood
This may indicate a serious health problem or internal injury. It is recommended you alert your cat’s vet.
Red-brown
Acidity
It is recommended you monitor your cat and if the Healthmark™ is red-brown for more than 48 hours, consult your cat’s vet.
Yellow or green
Typical
A Healthmark™ color that is yellow or green – or if you see no change to the pellets at all – indicates your cat's urine pH is within the range of ordinary.
Dark green or blue
Alkalinity
It is recommended you monitor your cat and if the Healthmark™ is dark green or blue for more than 48 hours, consult your cat’s vet.

**Smart Box™ Litter is safe to flush through residential, non-septic sewage systems designed and maintained in accordance with plumbing codes. To ensure compatibility do not flush more than one clump at a time. Local regulations on flushing vary; please ensure you comply with them. The State of California encourages the disposal of cat feces in the trash and discourages flushing feces in toilets or disposing of them in drains.
